Congratulations to Tim Marx the 2026 Gallatin County Ag Service Award Winner!
Tim Marx was born and raised on the family dairy farm off of E. Valley Center Rd, south of Belgrade. He and his brothers grew up helping with daily chores while attending school in Belgrade. After graduating from Belgrade High School, Tim took up the ag-mechanics profession and started his career with Gallatin Equipment. In about 2000, Tim started his own agricultural service and sales business, T Bar O Repair and Sales, and continues that enterprise today. He specializes in haying machinery and equipment.
Tim is known for his exemplary service and support for his customers. His understanding of the production demands of haying season drives him to get his customers through breakdowns and in an immediate and timely manner where downtime is minimized to hours and days rather than weeks. Tim’s service to agriculture and community extends beyond just equipment sales and repair services. He has been a tireless supporter of Gallatin 4-H and FFA students, buying animals at the fair, supporting and donating to the Gallatin Beef Producers and Gallatin Cattlewomen, and the Farm Fair.
Tim Marx is a loving husband and father of three grown children. He and his wife Jan still live on a portion of his family’s farm in Belgrade and enjoy the many friends they have in agricultural community. Tim’s efforts to serve and support agriculture and his community have been observed and appreciated by many members of our farm and ranch community. His 2026 Service to Agriculture award is very well deserved and we are all better for having him as a member of our agricultural community.
